Finding your way through the vast choice of poker clubs available to residents of the capital is not an easy task. But rest assured, we have written this article to help you navigate more easily.

Where to play poker in Paris?

There are mainly two types of structures that organize poker games in the Paris region: associative clubs and gaming clubs.

Associative clubs

Operating under the model of a non-profit organization (association loi 1901), these clubs are oriented towards the enjoyment of the game rather than profit. Indeed, the games are generally played without real money. This means that the bets and winnings in these clubs are fictional, allowing members to focus on the competitive aspect, skill improvement, and strategy rather than the financial aspect.

These clubs are grouped in France under two main structures:

  • The French Federation of Associative Poker (FFPA)
  • The French Poker League (LFP)

So, if you want to play poker without money in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the easiest way is to visit the websites of these two organizations to find a club near you:

➡️ For the list of FFPA poker clubs in Île-de-France: click here.

➡️ For the list of LFP poker clubs, you have access to an interactive map on the homepage of their site by clicking here.

Gaming clubs

Parisian gaming clubs represent elegance and refinement in the world of poker and gambling in France.

These structures were born from the regulatory transformation of 2018, which saw the closure of gaming circles following a series of scandals related to their management and illegal activities, that tarnished their reputation.

The French government implemented a more rigorous regulatory framework, paving the way for the establishment of modern gaming clubs. These clubs are now subject to very strict standards of surveillance and transparency, aimed at restoring user confidence.

While some of them, like the Imperial Club Paris or the Punto Club do not offer a very developed poker selection, others offer a relatively wide range of options for poker players. Here is their list and the main useful information about them:
